NOGARTEL 2014

NOGARTEL is a biennial Capacity Development Conference, Trade Networking and Exhibition (Art and Business) aimed at providing a platform to foster demonstrated commitment to sharing and transferring solution-based perspectives and technology to participants with a view to adapting or modifying such perspective / technology for commercialization and productivity enhancement.

It is also designed to promote strong synergy, offer smart investment opportunities and help exhibit new innovation/technology to boost rapid infrastructural development for a robust and increasingly prosperous domestic economy. It also provides a platform to exchange business information, promote services, build prospect database and generate more patronage.

A key feature at the event will be an Art exhibition which shall have Oil & Gas related and other Artworks on display (most from Nigerian Undergraduates, Art Lecturers / Teachers and other Professional Artist) and shall provide an opportunity to showcase creative imagery that demonstrates the blend of Oil & Gas, Maritime and Visual Art. Worthy of special note is the fact that participation in this exhibition is at NO COST to the Artists.

There would also be a Business Technology Exhibition to showcase Products and / or Services of Organizations with interest in the Oil and Gas Industry. The event will be rounded off with an Exquisite NOGARTEL Dinner (tagged "NIGHT OF FUN AND NETWORKING") which will have, as its high point, the induction of key consistent Oil and Gas Players (with over thirty years of special interest in the Oil and Gas Industry) into the NOGARTEL HALL OF FAME with the presentation of NOGARTEL PATHFINDER AWARD, and, the NOGARTEL EMERGING TITANS AWARD (to Industry Players with at least a decade of frontline involvement in the Oil and Gas Industry), and, the presentation of NOGARTEL QUALITY PARTNERSHIP AWARD to Financial Institutions and Organizations, who have been consistent in Collaborative Underwriting and Provided Support Resources, especially for Local Content Development.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To highlight the contributions of Dr. Rilwan Lukman to the emergence and development of the Modern Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry

To promote the development of knowledge base available in the society and create new interest in the Oil & Gas, Maritime and Science and Technology sub sectors of the domestic economy

To acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of Players (Regulatory bodies, Agencies, Organizations & Individuals) to the development of the Oil & Gas Industry

To further sensitize society and support Government commitment to ensuring the availability of an enabling environment for the increased participation of genuine local investors / entrepreneurs with local or foreign fund available for investment.

To harness the contributions of Visual Art related events towards National transformation, empowerment and corporate responsibility.

To Stimulate Art exchange and transfer among participants .

To provide a platform for international networking / partnership among participants (Nigeria & Foreign) .

To provide standard Art market for the teeming, Art Collectors, Governments, Students and other participants .

To create a veritable source of visibility and exposure for Private and Public sector organizations (alongside their products) that will identify with the initiative through sponsorships, endorsement, Collaborations, and / or as a vehicle for their corporate responsibility.
